Idol: J.K. Rowling – She started out as a single mother living off benefits in a small flat in Scotland. She has been through so much and she is brilliant. Jo turned all of the difficult things in her life into fuel for her work and has inspired not only me but millions and millions of people. Within 5 years of ‘The Philosophers Stone’ being published, Jo went from living on welfare to becoming a multi-million pound author. She encouraged a new generation of kids to read, if thats not an amazing feat i don’t know what is. Jo hasn’t let fame change her, she does not regard herself as a celebrity, and she’s never pretentious. I have looked up to this women from the age of 6 and will continue to do for the rest of my life. To meet Jo or even to just be within her presence would be a gift that could compare to nothing else in the world.
